Seamgen awards tuition scholarships in the amount of $1,000. The scholarship is available twice a year to support and encourage students who are pursuing education in the software industry.
Students who study software development, computer science and related STEM studies (STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) are eligible to receive the Seamgen scholarship. Applicants will be evaluated based on their passion, academic achievements, innovation, and creativity as well as leadership skills.
Seamgen is a strong proponent of diversity, and we strongly encourage ALL students throughout the United States to apply for the “Seamgen Software Development Scholarship.”
In order to be eligible, you must be enrolled full time in a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university in the United States at the time the application is submitted. Furthermore, the scholarship is only open to students pursuing Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM degree. Applicants must have maintained at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 4.0 or a 4.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 5.0.
Recipients receive partial tuition covered for one academic year as posted by the financial aid office at your college or university. Seamgen will make a one-time payment to the designated school, and amounts are not transferable to other academic institutions. These funds may be used for tuition only – not for other costs listed on your bursar bill, such as room and board.
We’ve seen software development evolve each year. Ask yourself: what do you think might be the next innovative approach in software development? Create a 3 to 5 minute video on your personal YouTube channel answering this question.Step 2
