This year’s International CES 2013 proved to be the biggest show yet with over 150,000 people attending the largest consumer technology conference and exhibition. Seamgen was delighted to be in attendance for the conference, info-sessions, and stroll the exhibit floor. With more than 1.85 million square feet, over 3,200 exhibitors showcased their latest products and innovations in the consumer electronics world. The conference highlighted notable speakers and industry thought leaders, including’s CEO Marc Benioff and Samsung’s Dr. Stephan Woo, whose keynote presentation had guest speaker Bill Clinton.

International CES 2013 gave our team members in attendance the opportunity to participate in networking events and conference sessions. Rob DeRosa and Aaron Morgulis, Seamgen’s Senior Software Developers, attended the Developer University, a full-day program dedicated to developer discussions and demos of the latest technologies and applications.

One particular discussion that enthralled Seamgen’s Aaron Morgulis was the “Developing Applications with Bluetooth Technology” session. “We were able to view the latest applications for Bluetooth and live demos for new gadgets like hipKey, a device which allows users to wirelessly connect with a mobile app to track any personal object or belonging using Bluetooth technology,” stated Morgulis.

Seamgen was also able to explore the exhibit hall and get a sneak peak of new products that consumers will be able to purchase in the near future. International CES 2013 was home to many new releases that attracted exhibitors to gain media attention, for example, Samsung’s first curved OLED TV that offers panoramic view and Sony’s impressive 4K TV, the new highest resolution television with the sharpest color quality. Another large theme surrounding the conference was mobile computing, as many companies showcased their latest phones, tablets and gaming devices on the exhibit floor.

As International CES 2013 came it a close, it was exciting for our team to have the opportunity to network and learn more about the latest innovations in the technology industry. We look forward to producing software applications on these new technology platforms and can’t wait to see what the future of technology brings at next year’s International CES 2014.
